Call for Playground Project Volunteers
Description: 1. Assembly of 5 Playground Units (like tinker toy construction) that are screwed together. 2. The transport and positioning of the assembled units to the playground site north of the Tennis Courts. 3. The assembly of 26 gabion baskets and the positioning of them at the playground site, 4. The filling of the gabion baskets with 19 CY of stone.
Skills: Some mechanical aptitude, Desire to help and be a part of a worthy community project.
Tools: Gloves, eye-protection, utility knives, tape measures, carpenter’s levels, screwdrivers, metric wrenches, socket, Allen, pliers (standard & channel), hammers, rubber mallets, bolt cutter, long bar clamps, cordless drill & impact driver, prybars, ratchet straps, vise grips, ladder, extension cords, T40 & T45 tamper-proof Torx Bits (supplied by Shelter Bay)

Phase 1
Monday, April 28 – Wed April 30: Inventory, Sort and Organize the equipment.
May 1; Assemble swing, pony & teeter. (6 volunteers)
May 5 – 7: Assemble small play unit. (6 volunteers)
May 8 – 13: Assemble large play unit. (6 volunteers)
May 14 – 16: Assemble Gabion Baskets. (6 volunteers)
May 19 – 23: Adjust time. (6 volunteers)
Phase 2
June 9 – 12: Transport and Position Play Units (8 volunteers)
Phase 3
June 19 – 27: Gabion Barriers in place with stone (6 volunteers)
