The Magic of Radio

Oct 14 | Coquille Park Building | 7 PM

Greetings to Shelter Bay ham radio operators, CERT volunteers, and anyone interested in knowing more about the magic of radio!

Radio communications is an asset to the community and to every family that has this capability—especially in an emergency.

This initial meeting will be an informal get-together for introductions, an assessment of areas of interest, to discover those that would like to mentor others, and maybe a show-and-tell or two. No prior knowledge or expertise is needed. Our goal is to form the “Shelter Bay Amateur Radio Club.”

Fire District 13 is looking for volunteers to provide radio communications during emergencies.  They will have a representative at the meeting.

We have quite a few hams residing in Shelter Bay and know that there are others that are interested or are already studying to take the test for a license. Let’s get to know each other!

Please join us: Grant Gifford W7SMS and Rod Proctor KI7ZI.
