CRITICAL  ANNOUNCEMENT – CLICK HERE

You may remember, a community-wide GeoTest was completed a few months ago. Now that that report has been completed, we have finally been able to begin applying for SSA (Shoreline/Sensitive Area) permits through the Swinomish Tribe! We have been approved to use goats to begin Firewise work in the greenbelts surrounding Muckleshoot & Wanapum (Tract E & Track K, Div. 4). There are several SSA areas where we hope to get approved for Firewise and will let the community know when there are updates.

Moreover, I encourage folks who need a view restoration to begin preparing their applications. These requests can take time to complete, so the sooner you can apply, the better! Please note that a “before” photo is required with your application. Real estate photos are not recommended, unless the date the photo was taken can be verified. Keep in mind that you will need to identify most, if not all, of the trees in question for your view restoration request. These procedures can be complex, so, as always, please reach out to me directly if you have any questions!
